Businesses across a variety of industries are integrating li-ion batteries into their eco-systems and/or managing inventories of batteries and products that they power. The new Li-Ion Battery Transport & Thermal Containment Cart was engineered by Americase to enable easy and safe movement of lithium-ion inventory anywhere on the premises AND to provide safe storage and shipping of DDR batteries. Each cart also doubles as a crash cart – in case a battery is dropped or mishandled, a removable thermal containment/DDR battery case is located at the bottom of the cart for quick and easy placement and containment. Americase has been granted a special DOT permit for the DDR battery case that ensures safe and compliant transportation of DDR batteries to the OEM, recycler, or lab for analysis.

DDR Battery Case

Unique suitcase-type design with built-in proprietary thermal containment material eliminated the need for any chemical handling (e.g. vermiculite) and enables quick placement and containment of a DDR battery.
DOT Special permit SP16011 for safe and compliant shipping of DDR batteries.

Thermal runaway containment for maximum safety and to avoid propagation in storage or shipping.
